Please note that by making use of this website in order to purchase our pieces, communicate with us, or for any other reason, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions that follow:

The website www.amandaappleby.com sells goods online. Completion of such sales will be subject to receipt of payment - every endeavor shall be made to process orders as soon as possible, so as to ensure that purchased goods are handed to the courier company for delivery promptly. Delivery of goods will not take place until your payment has reflected and cleared on our side. By placing your order, you authorise Amanda Appleby to designate a carrier to clear and deliver the package.

Despite taking every care to describe each item as accurately as possible, and to give an honest evaluation, please keep in mind that many of the pieces are quite old and may be worn in places! We cannot be held liable for such evaluation. Additional photographs will be provided if requested. We will also be happy to answer any questions, such questions to be sent via email to info@amandaappleby.com. We also do our best to ensure that the photographs depict the pieces as accurately as possible, but do not guarantee that they are absolutely true to life. All sizes stated are approximations.

Acquaint yourself with your country's laws and customs regulations. You may be required to pay duty and taxes on your purchase – these charges are always the recipient's responsibility and cost! Contact your local customs office for further information. You are also responsible for assuring that the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country. When ordering from Amanda Appleby, the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the destination country. Please be aware that cross-border shipments may be subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities, and certain order, shipment and product information may be communicated to the customs authorities by the couriers in order to facilitate customs clearance and comply with local laws. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates and as such we cannot be held responsible for such delays or failure of delivery.

Postage and shipping is charged pro rata. When you purchase an item, an email will be sent to you advising you of the additional shipping fee involved. Amanda Appleby gladly accepts orders from all around the globe. Shipping rates and fees may vary depending on the item and the delivery address for your order.

Items are unique and one of a kind. For that reason, the customer who orders and makes payment first will receive the item. Goods will only be removed from the website once they have been paid for – ordered items not paid for will be available for purchase by others. Your contract to purchase an item will not be complete until payment has been received and we send you an email notifying you that the item has been shipped. Payment is due within 7 days of purchase. If payments are not received within 7 days, the order will be cancelled.

We reserve the unilateral right to cancel any order at any stage of the order process including once payment has been received.

You can easily put items on your wish list that will be saved for future viewing. Other customers, however, can buy these items while they appear on your wish list.

This website contains material which is owned by and /or licensed to us. This includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than with the intellectual property proprietor's written authorisation.

From time to time this website may also include links to other websites. These links are provided for your convenience to provide further information. They do not signify that we endorse the website(s). We have no responsibility for the content of the linked website(s).

We will insure all items ordered, and add this fee on to the final invoice, together with the delivery fee. The customer has the option of waiving this service, but then we cannot be held responsible for items damaged or lost in transit. Items that have been insured and do not, for whatever reason, get delivered to their final destination, will be refunded by us.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 7 days of receipt in the same manner in which it was shipped to you – this includes shipping, insurance, etc. Save for certain exceptional cases, Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECT Act"), entitles you to cancel any sale concluded on this website within 7 days after date of receipt of the goods and to obtain a full purchase price refund within 30 days thereafter, subject to being charged by Amanda Appleby for the return of the goods ie. The costs of returning goods will be for your account. You will thus be able to return items that you are not satisfied with for any reason within such 7 day period.

Amanda Appleby will not accept returns due to damage caused by cleaning, alterations, or improper testing.

We will keep proof of all delivery documents. The customer can have no claim against us in terms of non-delivery - on condition that we can produce the original signed documents.
